This award recognises young water professionals who have outstanding career achievements to date and who have the potential to play a large and influential role in the water industry.
Adele is an inspiring and energetic young water professional with a drive and passion to connect and empower healthy thriving communities for future generations. She is working on sustainable water infrastructure and networks projects including as Design Manager for SA Water’s Water Main Relay Framework project over the past year. She has found it very rewarding to work collaboratively with the SEM Water, Allwater, SA Water Construction Services, WSP’s Environmental and SA Water’s Stakeholder Engagement teams to develop a customer-focused strategy to efficiently deliver 27,000 km of pipeline across Adelaide – thereby providing safe, clean water to South Australian households and businesses.
Adele says “I’m very honoured to have received this award. It reflects the incredible team of people I get to work with every day at WSP and I thank each of them for their ongoing support and mentorship. This year has brought me a broad range of development opportunities and challenges, and I look forward to what 2019 will bring.
Through my involvement with the Australian Water Association, Engineers Australia Women in Engineering and WSP Pathways, I’m in a privileged position to promote STEM career pathways in the water sector. I find it truly rewarding to be able to contribute to one of the oldest infrastructure disciplines and feel a sense of responsibility to the community to provide safe and reliable drinking water.”
