Anya says, “I’m excited about the opportunity to engage on a broad range of projects and work collaboratively with an experienced team and clients to see projects through to implementation.
“Having worked on projects at various stages of development from the client side in approvals, with communities, as well as in technical and operational capacities, I have a unique perspective on how important building and managing key relationships is to successfully leading projects.
“A common challenge for many clients is identifying how to strategically navigate sensitive, political environments with multiple stakeholders.”
As Senior Project Manager for Resources & Industry in South Australia, Anya will be working closely with clients to identify, plan and drive activities for key projects demanding critical engagement and other project development inputs.
Currently, she is seconded into BHP, developing and managing a stakeholder engagement framework supporting the Olympic Dam Resource Development Strategy across its portfolio of projects, as part of their future expansion of core base metals such as copper, which is seeing huge forecast demand in the manufacture of Electric Vehicles (EVs) to reduce carbon emissions.
Nick Flanagan, Regional General Manager for Resources in South Australia, says, “Anya is a great addition to WSP and joins our leadership team in South Australia. She brings a new edge for our clients with her broad range of experience across the whole spectrum from technical elements, environmental planning, and community engagement in the resources space.”
