Joining the firm as Technical Director in our Defence team, Andrew will be overseeing project delivery, client management and business development for Defence sector projects in Australia.
Andrew says, “I look forward to contributing to the evolution of WSP’s top tier engineering team and continue creating winning solutions to address increasingly complex Defence infrastructure challenges.”
The Australian Government is making a once in a generation surge in investment across the Defence sector, including new capabilities and significant support for an ageing estate.
Andrew says, “The scale of the Defence infrastructure build required over the next ten years will benefit greatly from our Future Ready methodology.
“We have a huge opportunity to contribute positively, with the smarts required, to deliver whole of life outcomes to Defence through an innovative design and delivery models to help create modern, efficient buildings and infrastructure.”
Meeting client needs with the best resources

Armed with over 12 years’ experience in leading large and diverse project teams through the documentation and delivery of complex projects - Scott Johnson has been appointed Associate Director for our Defence team.
A key aspect of Scott’s role is the Design and Delivery of multidisciplinary projects, with a focus on Defence projects and infrastructure.
“I’m excited to help the firm provide solutions to the building industry, with particular focus on delivering projects for the Defence sector,” Scott says. “We have the best resources to meet our client’s needs.”
A Chartered Engineer (CPEng) on the Australian National Engineering Register (NER) - Scott brings mechanical design and documentation expertise in a wide range of systems and project delivery ranging from; health, commercial, education and Defence facilities. He also has a keen interest in energy efficiency and sustainable design solutions for the built environment.
Scott was recently awarded the Engineers Australia 2020 Young Engineer of the Year Award for the South Australia Division.
