Alongside Amanda Yeates, Department of Transport Deputy Director-General, and Peter Colacino, Infrastructure Australia Chief of Policy and Research, Guy Templeton will talk about sustainability and resilience for project delivery. Allan Murray will present separately on First Nations being the best for Country design.
Improving long-term systemic reforms, enhancing liveability and integrating future trends into projects is essential for Queensland to build thriving communities.
“We are seeing a population boom across Queensland and continuous planning and investment in sustainable infrastructure is needed, especially as it transitions to a net-zero economy,” Guy says.
Allan Murray is a proud Dhudhuroa-Yorta Yorta man and part of the Indigenous Specialist Services team. He facilitates relationships between Traditional Custodians and projects.
He says, “There is a culture shift needed to building trust and opportunities to co-design a shared vision for infrastructure for all Australians.
“All projects are developed on traditional lands and it’s important to embed the stories of Country in these developments.”
