Graduates Vote WSP Top 100 Employer

A recent survey by GradAustralia has ranked WSP fifth in the engineering consulting services sector.

Acknowledged as one of the most sought-after Top 100 lists in the country, the survey canvassed current and past graduates of higher education institutions to vote for the organisations that have the most appeal as employers. This year, the survey was extended to incorporate external references including Google searches on employers, Glassdoor reviews, types of job opportunities, University campus feedback, and Graduate program offerings.

Coming in at 79th position overall in the 2021 Top 100 list, WSP is proud of our proactive investment in our young people in support of their career path.

 

“It was particularly satisfying to achieve this result given the impact of COVID-19 on the workplace,” says Andy Cross, WSP’s Head of Talent Acquisition & Mobility.

 

“2020 was a challenging year for all our employees but particularly for those new to the workforce in a career position. As such it was even more important to ensure that our graduate program continued with a wide range of development opportunities for the journey from graduate to emerging professional.

 

“For example, due to physical distancing restrictions we transformed the highlight of our graduates’ yearly calendar, the Graduate Workshop, from a face-to-face event into a virtual experience. Addressing the disruption to the traditional workplace due to the pandemic, we examined the future of work. Through using a range of virtual collaboration and engagement tools, participants were able to join and connect from their workplace, home office or project sites in Australia and the Philippines.”

 

WSP’s two-year blended learning Graduate Program provides the tools, support and information to enhance professional, personal and relationship building skills and has five main components – connection and collaboration; graduate bites; developing self; and networking and relationships.

 

Our culture and approach of igniting our graduates’ careers with a focus on innovation was further recognised with the firm being named in Australia’s Top 30 HR Teams by Human Resources Director Magazine.
