Wetland and Stream Restoration to Reduce Eutrophication and Sequester Carbon - Experiences from Denmark

The Danish Environmental Protection Agency has developed several different programs to restore wetlands. This presentation will present several wetland and stream restoration projects performed by WSP in Denmark. There will be focus on feasibility and design of the restoration, calculating nitrogen, phosphorus and carbon retention as well as assessing the environmental impact in respect to flooding, biodiversity and climate adaptation.
