Our team received the coveted Deputy Minister’s Award of Excellence from the B.C. Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MoTI) in the category of Bridge Design and Contract Preparation. Nominated by the Ministry’s project team and selected by its senior management, this honour is a testament to the excellent quality of our work and our exceptional client service.
The project involved replacing the original 70-year-old crossing, raising the hydraulic opening by over two metres and improving flood resiliency. The new bridge was built in multiple stages to ensure minimal disruption to the public. Located just east of Allison Pass, the high-elevation structure required rapid construction during short work windows over three summer seasons.
According to Keith Holmes, Manager, Bridges, "Our experienced and collaborative multi-disciplinary design team anticipated the project constraints and challenges and delivered a robust 'hassle-free' tender package."
