WSP earns a top spot in 2019 industry rankings

Canada’s Top 100 Projects identifies WSP as a key player in infrastructure. With 53 projects on the list, WSP’s work touches every sector in the built environment.

WSP is currently involved in the delivery of more large-scale infrastructure projects than any other engineering and construction firm in Canada, according to ReNew Canada magazine’s 2019 Top 100 Projects.

Of the more than 400 firms listed in the annual rankings, WSP is among only 13 to receive Platinum Elite status (20 or more projects). In total, the firm is involved in 53 of the Top 100 Biggest Projects.

The projects, involving WSP’s work in the energy, buildings, transit, transportation, environment and water sectors, represent approximately $133 billion in estimated construction value, or 62 per cent of Canada’s large-scale infrastructure market.

The Top 100 lists hundreds of the companies involved at every level of these projects. Key players on the list are awarded badges based on the number of projects in which they played a role.

  • 8 of 12 Highway projects
  • 2 of 3 largest Building projects
  • 3 of 3 Environment projects

The Top 100 is ReNew Canada’s annual report on the country’s biggest infrastructure projects. Projects are ranked by dollar value and, to make the list, must be under development, whether undergoing an Environmental Assessment, in procurement, or under construction.
