This webinar discusses the review of the Australian Workplace Exposure Standards undertaken by WSP Australia giving insight into the science and the process involved. The project involved evaluation of 726 chemicals, not reviewed for over 20 years, to ensure they are based on the highest quality, contemporary evidence and supported by a rigorous scientific approach. A coordinated WSP team effort was critical in delivering such a high-profile and technically content dense project within a short time frame.
We will explore the toxicological basis and interpretation of data that support a workplace exposure standard along with the methodology employed. Participants will gain an overall understanding of what data informs a recommendation for a health based workplace exposure standard.
