This webinar is for project managers, engineers and architects working with listed and heritage buildings. Join us and learn the best way to energy optimize windows in listed and heritage buildings when comparing parameters such as total costs, running costs, material use and energy consumption.
The focus, when working with existing buildings, is often on avoiding maintenance of windows, if this results in the lowest running costs. Very often new windows with thermal glazing are selected to improve the capacity of insulation. However, studies show that adding secondary glazing is more energy efficient and selecting the right material and methods of maintenance results in a lifetime span triple or more to thermal glazing.
During the webinar our experts will present a selection of case studies, research on the issue done in collaboration with The Technical University of Denmark and different examples of window restorations and replacements of windows.
