The awards ceremony was jointly organized by the China International Exchange Committee for Tall Buildings (CITAB) and the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) to recognize projects and individuals that have made extraordinary contributions to the advancement of Chinese tall buildings and the urban environment, including sustainability at the highest and broadest level. Shanghai Bund SOHO: Winner of the 2016 CITAB-CTBUH China Best Tall Building Overall Award
A mixed-use development with a total GFA of 190,000 sq.m and comprises of four office buildings (60 to 135 meters tall), retail and entertainment facilities.
WSP's Role: MEP consulting engineer.
Shanghai Hongkou SOHO: Winner of the China Best Tall Building Excellence Award
An office and retail development with a total GFA of 97,000 sq.m.
WSP’s Role: MEP consulting engineer.
Shenyang Forum 66: Winner China Tall Building Construction Award
A mixed use development with a world-class shopping mall, twin Grade-A office towers, a hotel, and serviced apartments. At 350 meters, this is one of the tallest towers in northeast China.
WSP’s Role: MEP consulting engineer and LEED consultant.
Shanghai Jing An Kerry Center: Winner China Urban Habitat Award
A mixed-use development with a GFA of 450,000 sq.m, comprising of a shopping mall, a 260m Grade-A office tower, a 508-room Jing An Shangri-La Hotel, and a 133-unit service apartment block.
WSP’s Role: MEP consulting engineer and BIM consultant.
Shanghai Tower: Winner China Tall Building Innovation Award for Mega-Suspended Curtain Wall
This is a 632 meter super high rise provides 128 floors of mixed-use facilities and is China’s tallest building.
WSP’s Role: Owner’s Engineer for MEP and vertical transportation system, and LEED commissioning authority services.
