Since 1868, Canadians around the globe have been honoring their culture, achievements and history on Canada Day with a vast array of events, from carnivals to barbecues, concerts to fireworks.
Held by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce every year, this major event draws more than 300 participants from the Chamber and the Canadian community in Korea to celebrate Canada’s birthday.

Su-Bin Jung, Assistant Communication Manager, Strategic Planning, Korea, said, “This is a monumental occasion for the nation that has been 150 years in the making so we believe it is a time for Canadians to look back on the past and chart a path to the future. Thus, Canada Day is always our biggest day of the year and we celebrate Canada’s birthday with an event that brings together business associates, Chamber members and their friends and families to enjoy a truly Canadian outdoor barbecue experience.”

True to the country’s spirit of inclusiveness, Canada Day’s reach is far beyond the locals. Visitors participated in the event to soak up the diversity and respect shared among fellow Canadians.

“Canada Day is the most iconic event among the many held in WSP's home country, Canada. Through Korea’s participation, we can bond with our potential clients and investors, and keep them in the know of our brand presence and latest activities here,” said Su-Bin.
