The design services we provided on the projects include structural engineering, building services and specialist disciplines such as facades and vertical transportation. Vincent Tse, Managing Director of Buildings MEP, China, who will attend the conference, said. “One of the CTBUH’s key aims is to highlight sustainable urbanism in order to promote a better urban future. MEP plays a very important role in the performance of tall buildings, and particularly with respect to the people who use them, and I’m very proud to that WSP is responsible for the building services on a number of these winning projects.”
Also part of the WSP team at the conference will be head of global structures, Bob Halvorson, who will be chairing a session on innovation covering topics like cross-laminated timber, rope-less elevators, lightweight motion control device and lean core and blade wall system. He said: “It is a real tribute to the quality of our people across the world that WSP is involved in such a large proportion of these prestigious projects, which exemplify the world’s foremost examples of innovative urban design.”
