Mr Green presented a paper that highlights the growth trends with intermittent renewable generation across the globe, identifying the drivers behind these trends and comparing penetration levels in Asia. His paper also reviewed the rapid increase in renewable generation, types and characteristics, and the impact on network operations. The paper also explored how energy storage can be applied as an effective tool by network operators in maintaining system stability.
