Served by two international airports, an extensive freight and high speed passenger rail network and modern highways, Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province, is not only the logistics hub for southwest China, but is also a booming center for commerce and tourism. As part of the 206,000 sq.km Chengdu–Chongqing Economic Zone (CCEZ), the fourth largest economic zone in China, Chengdu is one of the emerging first tier cities that will continue to develop and grow in the coming decades.
