This Snack & Learn webinar talks about the North Auckland Line (NAL) connection, one portion of the NZ$4.4B City Rail Link (CRL) project, the largest infrastructure project ever undertaken in New Zealand. The project involves the creation of a through route from the current terminus in the city, through a new brownfield tunnel connection to the North Auckland Line at Mt Eden. The NAL connection requires maintaining live rail traffic on the NAL throughout whilst grade separating and widening the rail corridor from two lines to four lines. It connects with the tunnel portal and the new Mt Eden Station precinct. The NAL works also has two major arterial roads to grade separate across the corridor, all whilst working with the constraints of a brownfield rail environment.
Come along to hear how WSP and its partners in the Link Alliance are delivering a full turnkey solution across all disciplines (planning, civil, rail systems) to create a transformative project for Auckland’s rail network.
