Farah Yassine, our Environment & Sustainability team’s Sustainable Resource Management Lead, recently spoke to The National where she discussed some ways that Gulf states could address poor indoor air quality (IAQ).
The article investigated IAQ in relation to new research published in the journal ‘Reviews on Environmental Health’, which focused on the association between human health and indoor air pollution in GCC countries.
Farah, who is also vice-chairperson of the Emirates Green Building Council, offered perspectives about IAQ that are specific to the cultural and social values of our region. She also highlighted the hidden dangers of many common household products and shared insights about legislation and regulations that are applied to the construction of new buildings.
