We are proud to announce WSP Middle East has been presented the Gold Health and Safety Award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) for the second successive year.
This internationally recognised award is an impressive win for our business and is testament to WSP’s relentless drive to demonstrate high health and safety standards, well-developed occupational health and safety management systems and culture, outstanding control of risk, and very low levels of error, harm and loss.
Matthew Jackson, Head of HSE at WSP Middle East, said: “To receive another Gold award after what has been an incredibly demanding year, is a testament to our people and the importance we continue to place on health, safety and wellbeing. It’s a success we can all celebrate together, as this could not have been achieved without their hard work and dedication to making safety a personal responsibility, as well as our ongoing commitment to our vision of zero harm, from both physical and psychological hazards.”
The selection process for RoSPA awards consists of an independent review of policies, procedures and performance, which is conducted by a panel of industry experts and judged accordingly.
Julia Small, RoSPA’s achievements director, said: “RoSPA is very proud of the achievements of its entrants, and with this award we recognise the best of the best, those organisations that have gone the extra mile, raising the bar for the delivery of safety in the workplace. Employees, wherever they may be should be able to go to work safe in the knowledge that they will return home unharmed and healthy at the end of every day.
“Our RoSPA Award winners are central to achieving this goal. By entering they are driving up standards and setting new safety benchmarks for organisations across the world.”
