WSP Recognised at the China 2016 "Innovative Award" in Building Information Model (BIM) Design Competition

At the award ceremony on 10th October, 2016, jointly held by the China Engineering & Consulting Association (CECA) and Autodesk Software (China) Co., Ltd., the Shenzhen Ping An Financial South Tower project won the Innovative Award for Building Information Model (BIM) Design. WSP provided BIM Management, Design Coordination and Construction Coordination services for this high rise commercial building. 

Simon Ng, Associate Director & Regional Senior BIM Manager, China Region who headed this project noted that, “To win this award is particularly rewarding as competition was strong with CECA receiving 470 project nominations this year, and to receive the Innovative Award is validation from the industry of our capabilities and leadership in the implementation of BIM on major projects.”

The Shenzhen Ping An Financial South Tower is a 300m tall commercial development with a GFA of approximately 197,000 sq.m. WSP provided comprehensive BIM Management, Design Coordination and Construction Coordination services. BIM was utilized as a management tool at different phases of the project life cycle, from design through construction and operation. WSP is also serving as MEP and vertical transportation system (VTS) consultant engineer.
