VTC International Culinary Institute, Hong Kong

The ICI is the latest addition to the Hong Kong Vocational Training Council’s (VTC) Pokfulam campus.   As the first of its kind in Asia, ICI provides word-class culinary training for over 2,000 students covering European, Mediterranean, American, Asian and Middle Eastern cuisines. WSP was appointed by Lead Consultant, Leigh & Orange, as the Building Services consultant of this world-class facility.

Spanning 9 floors, including two basement levels, the 11,200 sq.m campus houses a comprehensive array of facilities including training kitchens, multi-tiered demonstration kitchens for international competitions and broadcasting, MICE training restaurants, food-related laboratories, themed culinary gardens, as well as a wine cellar. 

Inspired by the shape of a Salt Crystal the futuristic design of the building is an inspiration to both visitors and students alike.
