New World Development’s Mount Pavilia Wins Dual Awards in Environmental and Interior Design Excellence

WSP helped Mount Pavilia strike gold again on this prestigious residential development project. At the FuturArc Green Leadership Award 2018, the project received the Merit Award in the Residential – Multiple Houses category and was the winner at the BCI Asia Interior Design Awards 2018.

The project is a stunning residential complex in Clear Water Bay Peninsula North, in Hong Kong consisting of 680 luxury apartments spread across 21 residential towers and six low-rise blocks for duplexes and triplexes, as well as 345,000 sq.ft of clubhouse and landscaped area. 

WSP provided building services engineering and environmental consultancy services for this project. Sustainable development features include wind turbines and photovoltaic panels on the residential rooftops to provide renewable energy for the common areas; solar panels for the clubhouse’s changing room’s hot water systems; rain water collection and recycling; as well as conversion of food waste into fertiliser.

Mount Pavilia’s previous environmental awards include 

  • Hong Kong Quality Building Award 2018, Merit for Hong Kong Residential (Multiple Buildings) Category;
  • Hong Kong Green Building Award 2016, Finalist for New Buildings Category; and 
  • Hong Kong Green Building Council BEAM Plus Provisional Gold.
