Over two decades, WSP has been instrumental in delivering multiple landmark projects in Shenzhen, including the 22km Shenzhen Metro Line 3 Phase 1, the 200,000 sq.m Shenzhen Bay Sports Centre, the 400m tall China Resources Tower and 354,000 sq.m Tencent Seafront Headquarters amongst others.

In the Qianhai New District, a commercial development in Shenzhen, WSP is working on major infrastructure developments including project and construction management of tunnels, bridges and large underground cooling stations in Guiwan and Qianwan of Qianhai, provision of consultancy services for planning and optimisation of a number of railway lines based on transit-city integration design approach, also serving as MEP consultant engineer for the Qianhai-Nanshan Deep Tunnel Sewerage System,” says Ivy Kong, Asia Chief Executive Officer. “Given its strategic location and investment, Shenzhen will continue to provide growth opportunities for WSP across our core market of transport, infrastructure and buildings.”
Earlier this week, Ivy joined Edmond Ho, Director for Building MEP, China region to open WSP’s new Shenzhen office which is designed to encourage collaborative working, social and recreational interaction among colleagues and promote a relaxed working culture. With plans for future certification to the International WELL standard, it provides communal spaces with green features, a gym, a nursing room for mothers, a large pantry / canteen area for its 100-plus employees.
This milestone was celebrated in an anniversary dinner at the Hui Hotel.
