The Shanghai IFC ranks among the largest commercial developments in the Pudong Lujiazui District and serves as a new landmark for the area. The development consists of 4 million square feet (370,000 square meters) of gross floor area, two grade-A office towers, the international Shanghai IFC Mall, deluxe IFC Residence suite hotel, and the Ritz-Carlton Shanghai.
The project features two mixed-use towers. Tower One is an 853-foot- (260-meter-) tall, 45-story office tower providing 1.3 million square feet (122,000 square meters) of state-of-the-art intelligent office accommodations. The adjacent tower measuring 820 feet (250 meters) houses the HSBC Headquarters on its first 30 floors and the 260-room Ritz Carlton Hotel on the top 15 floors. The 1-million-square-foot (100,000-square-meter) IFC Mall connects the two towers offering top brand name shopping as well as some of the city’s most popular restaurants.
WSP served as the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and drainage consultant. The project received the Highest Business Value Gold and Best Commercial Landmark awards at the second CBN Property Reporter Real Estate Awards in 2011.
