The first public art museum in Australia to achieve a 6-star Green Star design rating. WSP worked with Atelier Ten and the Art Gallery of New South Wales during the design phase to ensure ecologically sustainable design outcomes were achieved.

The Pan Am / Parapan Am Aquatics Centre and Field House on the University of Toronto’s Scarborough Campus was a key venue for the 2015 Pan Am / Parapan Am Games, with a 6,000-capacity main competition pool. 

WSP worked with Ashby Capital and Janson Urban to reuse and grow the existing structure which created larger more effective retail and office spaces while reducing carbon emissions from construction. 

WSP is the rail delivery partner for the first high-speed rail system planned for implementation in the US and has developed new railway standards for HSR in the country.

With erosion in the Kananga area causing large gullies that threaten local infrastructure and pose a risk to communities, we helped the UN design suitable solutions for local contractors to build.

A flexible, integrated solution for Adelaide’s water supply is maximising community outcomes.

An Integrated Resource Recovery (IRR) strategy was developed for the Courtice Water Pollution Control Plant and was a first step towards the sustainability of this 68.2 MLD plant. The study searched for technical solutions to derive value from the plant’s waste and to minimize its inputs. The results not only brought focus to the Region, which lead to the IRR option to pursue further into the design and implementation phase, but also immediate improvements with the implementation of short-term solutions.

The tram network in Stockholm is undergoing a major expansion. Tramway City is expected to carry 63,000 passengers per day in 2030 and will supply the new Royal Seaport district with efficient and environmentally friendly public transport.

The objective of the National Department of Tourism of South Africa was to reduce Robben Island’s reliance on diesel generators as a power source. 

WSP were involved in the early design of the documentation of the Greenland Tower up to 2015 which entailed rigorous regulatory requirements and heritage challenges for Sydney’s tallest residential tower.

We have played a key role in transforming an under-utilised part of Melbourne’s central business district, to create a vibrant urban community with the iconic dual tower, known as Collins Arch.
