WSP is establishing a Roadmap for reducing the climate impact

The area around Karens Minde in Copenhagen's old South Harbour district is to be urbanized and climate-adapted as part of a single project.

The first public art museum in Australia to achieve a 6-star Green Star design rating. WSP worked with Atelier Ten and the Art Gallery of New South Wales during the design phase to ensure ecologically sustainable design outcomes were achieved.

WSP is guiding the CENTRUS joint venture and providing engineering and design management services for Canada’s largest and most complex heritage rehabilitation project.

Life in the small town of Viby in Denmark has been enriched by the recently completed Cultural Centre and Library which provides a new gathering place, or living room, for the community. The project has been honoured as a Best Project in the 2022 ENR Global Best Projects Awards. 

Helping Shenyang lead the way by stimulating economic growth in a sustainable way

With erosion in the Kananga area causing large gullies that threaten local infrastructure and pose a risk to communities, we helped the UN design suitable solutions for local contractors to build.

As general consultant for the municipality of Sollentuna, WSP is working on an exciting sustainable neighbourhood in Väsjön, Stockholm. 

An Integrated Resource Recovery (IRR) strategy was developed for the Courtice Water Pollution Control Plant and was a first step towards the sustainability of this 68.2 MLD plant. The study searched for technical solutions to derive value from the plant’s waste and to minimize its inputs. The results not only brought focus to the Region, which lead to the IRR option to pursue further into the design and implementation phase, but also immediate improvements with the implementation of short-term solutions.

WSP were involved in the early design of the documentation of the Greenland Tower up to 2015 which entailed rigorous regulatory requirements and heritage challenges for Sydney’s tallest residential tower.

Soon to be New England’s tallest residential building and the third tallest in Boston, One Dalton is a 61-story tower providing approximately 422,500 square feet of residential space and 290,000 square feet of five-star hotel space for the Four Seasons.

Shaktoolik, Alaska, is a remote village of 260 people, located 125 miles east of Nome, on a narrow spit of land between the Tagoomenik River and the Bering Sea. Brightly painted houses line either side of the village’s only road, a 1-mile stretch of sand and gravel.

As part of the City of Sydney’s ambition to reach net zero emissions by 2035 we have played a key role in demonstrating ways to drive down GHG emissions in the built environment in Greater Sydney.
