This Samsung Life Insurance Building is a 76,645-square-meter office and commercial retail project in Gangnam’s Irwon-dong neighborhood. The $169 million building is located above Irwon Station along the Seoul Metropolitan Area Subway Network. The project includes three separate buildings above ground connected by two underground basements. It will have had nine floors above ground and seven floors underground.

The structure will be made of steel and reinforced concrete and will have a 1,500-ton steel mega truss on the fourth floor with a maximum length of 60 meters (197 feet) due to the safety for the subway station below. WSP worked with SAMSUNG group as the project/construction management service for this project, which going to have a grand opening in May 2018.
