Joining the DfMA MiMEP Tradeshow 2021 and the MiC & MiMEP Webinar Forum as one of the guest speakers, Colin provided technical knowledge and practical insights on how MiMEP design could be incorporated in the planning and design of projects to better serve communities into the future.
Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) is a design approach for effective construction project delivery. While modular integrated construction (MiC) is widely adopted in Hong Kong’s construction industry, MiMEP is the next emerging trend in Hong Kong, which refers to the adoption of DfMA for MEP components and equipment by integrating them into a sub-assembly off-site and then deliver to and installed on site.
As part of the event, our project team also visited the MiMEP Tradeshow in CIC-Zero Carbon Park.
Jointly organised by the Construction Industry Council (CIC) and the Hong Kong Federation of Electrical & Mechanical Contractors Limited (HKFEMC), the DfMA MiMEP Tradeshow 2021 showcased the industry’s capability in DfMA and MiMEP. It also serves as a platform for sharing the best practices, innovative ideas and benefits in adopting DfMA for MEP works.
