Once completed, this integrated complex will feature luxury residential units and traditional apartments, office space, a five-star hotel, and a 139,000-square-meter (1.5 million-square-foot) shopping mall. A groundbreaking ceremony was held on June 26, 2014; the project is expected to be completed in 2022.
While the transport hub is currently the terminus and station for Shanghai Metro Line 1 and Line 5, it has been proposed to develop an underground metro station for the proposed Metro Line 17, and an at-grade railway station for the new inter-city Jinshan Line. In the future, the Shanghai-Hangzhou high speed rail will also be connected to the hub. The Minhang integrated complex will be situated above the Xinzhuang Integrated Transport Hub.
