SAN BERNARDINO, CA – Pooya Haddadi has been named supervising engineer for bridges and structures in the San Bernardino office of WSP USA, formerly WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, a leading engineering and professional services consultancy.
In his new position, Mr. Haddadi will focus on building capabilities and market share in the Inland Empire, leading bridge projects in Southern California, and providing leadership of the firm’s San Bernardino structures team. He is currently serving as the firm’s design manager overseeing construction support for structures of the $2.2 billion Mid-Coast Corridor Transit Project (MCCTP) in Southern California that includes an 11-mile alignment with four miles of viaducts, five miles of retaining walls and nine additional bridge structures.
Over the past decade in Southern California, Mr. Haddadi has served in key leadership roles for numerous transit and highway projects in the region including interchanges and viaducts in the San Bernardino, Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego. He has extensive experience leading structural design for major highway and transit bridge projects in Southern California, and has completed design-build projects throughout the West including in California, Arizona, and Washington.
A licensed professional engineer and structural engineer in California, Mr. Haddadi received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from San Jose State University and a master of science in structural engineering from California State University, Fullerton. Mr. Haddadi will be presenting the design and construction approach for the one-mile long Genesee Viaduct in Southern California at the 2018 International Bridge Conference in Maryland in June.
