CINCINNATI — Robert Hans, an accomplished transportation industry practitioner, has been named to lead the Cincinnati transportation and infrastructure office of WSP USA, a leading engineering and professional services consultancy.
In his new role, Hans will provide market and client leadership, manage business operations, and establish long-range growth plans and objectives for the area. He will also manage projects, drawing on his experience delivering transportation projects in Ohio and Kentucky.
“Rob is an experienced engineer with a demonstrated strong background of working in the industry,” said Howard Wood, vice president, Ohio area manager for WSP USA. “I look forward to the additional leadership Rob will bring to our Cincinnati operations, building on the strong presence we have in the state, and furthering our commitment to serving our Ohio clients.”
Hans’ career includes, 27 years with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC), where he served in several leadership roles. He was a district bridge engineer in the Cabinet, involved with the inspection and maintenance of over 1,000 bridges in the Northern Kentucky area. He was branch manager for maintenance/operations and branch manager for planning until his appointment as executive director/chief district engineer. He was also directly involved with the preliminary engineering and environmental phase for the Brent Spence Bridge Project, serving as Kentucky’s project manager.
Hans holds a bachelor of science in civil engineering from the University of Kentucky and a bachelor of science in physics from Northern Kentucky University. He is a Registered professional engineer in Kentucky and Ohio.
