CHICAGO — As transit and rail professionals develop innovative solutions for moving passengers safely and efficiently, the arrival of Stephen Goodreau as director of the national bus rapid transit (BRT) practice at WSP USA, a leading engineering and professional services consultancy, will ensure its clients have the resources and solutions they need to address the complex challenges they face.
In his new role with the firm, Goodreau will collaborate with clients throughout the entire life cycle of a project, developing solutions that address their specific needs to develop, design and implement Future Ready™ BRT programs.

Goodreau previously served as senior project manager and office leader for a national engineering firm, where he managed several BRT design projects, including the Healthline BRT project in Cleveland, Red Line BRT in Indianapolis, the Ashland Avenue BRT in Chicago, Trax Light Rail Extension in Salt Lake City, the New Haven-Hartford-Springfield Commuter Rail National Environmental and Protection Act (NEPA) and preliminary engineering programs in Connecticut and Massachusetts and provided quality assurance/quality control oversight for Madison BRT in Seattle.
Goodreau is a graduate of the University of Akron with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering and earned a master’s degree in business administration from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He is a BRT committee member for the American Public Transportation Association, and a member of American Council of Engineering Companies.
