Our CRT is in contact daily to respond to these unprecedented events in real time. We are committed to being operationally resilient to continue meeting the needs of our clients.
Many of WSP’s strengths lie in the diversity, resilience and agility of our people. In the last week, we have responded quickly to new developments while prioritising the safety and welfare of our employees, clients, communities and supply chain in our actions.
National Lockdown
Following the President’s address last night, in which it was confirmed that South Africa will be going into lockdown for 21 days from Thursday evening, please note that all our offices will be closed from COB on Thursday.
Operations Update
We had already prepared for the scenario where significant numbers of staff may be unable to access offices for a period of time. WSP has long championed a virtual working environment. We have invested in tools such as Yammer, Skype for Business and Microsoft Teams to enable virtual collaboration.
Our Commitment
The COVID-19 outbreak is testing individuals and businesses in ways many of us did not fully anticipate. Managing a business through a pandemic can involve significant challenges, but we are up to the challenge.
As this situation continues to evolve, we are adapting and responding as necessary to provide our services, while doing our part by ensuring the safety of our employees, our clients, and the communities which we operate. While we do not know when the worst of this crisis will be behind us, we are certain we will all emerge stronger and more connected than ever before.
WSP remains focused on project delivery and meeting client needs and by working together to overcome these difficult times. Should you need further information or have additional questions, please don’t hesitate to connect with your WSP client representative directly.
