As we enter an age when human impact is becoming even more dominant in shaping our world – cities in many ways provide the greatest opportunity to enhance people’s lives – and the biggest challenge. WSP has turned its lens to the future to explore how 24 cities are identifying and responding to the challenges they are facing in the coming decades. Drawing upon a knowledge pool of over 40 000 engineers, planners, scientists and consultants to undertake a qualitative assessment of strategic land use, water and wastewater infrastructure and planning frameworks.

The session presents the benchmark results in the WSP Global Cities Index. The report provides insights about how cities and water utilities are preparing for a future shaped by the major transitions of today: urbanization with increased density and growth, climate change, digital disruption, emerging mobility and evolving utilities models. The basis for the assessments are the plans and actions of 24 cities across the globe, how they develop the physical fabric on which future social and economic activity will play out.

Join us for an exciting conversion together with representatives from different countries on the theme - Water for all in the cities of tomorrow!
