A new up to $1b program of capital works across nine years will be delivered by the Logan Water Infrastructure Program Alliance (LoganWIPA) – a public and private sector enterprise involving Logan City Council, WSP, Downer and Cardno. Having built on ten years of working together with Logan City Council, we have secured this next five to nine years in supporting the thriving communities of Logan.
LoganWIPA is an opportunity for continued improvement in delivering additional value to Logan City Council’s customers and communities. Beyond enhancing the value and minimising cost of infrastructure for the council and its customers, the program is further reducing environmental and social impacts through treatment wetlands, offset planting, providing local employment and training opportunities alongside of extensive community consultation.
Our team will deliver improvements in program management, whole of life asset performance, implementation of digital technologies, innovation frameworks, development of the local supply chain and providing exceptional community outcomes. This builds upon over $600 million of services delivered since 2009 for Logan residents and businesses including new and improved water, wastewater and recycled water infrastructure that benefits the regional economy, environment and thriving communities.
Dean Toomey, WSP’s Director of Water says, “I’m extremely proud of our team’s achievements over the past decade in providing a healthy and sustainable future for Logan’s communities.”
“We bring learnings and experience not only from ten years of working together with Logan City Council, but also leveraging some of Australia’s largest treatment programs that we are already on with Sydney Water, TasWater and Hunter Water.”
“We are looking forward to helping Logan City Council build organisational capacity and capability to deliver greater value to their customers and in achieving their vision of being an innovative, dynamic, city of the future,” he adds.
