Tara says, “I’m very excited to be helping our clients tackle their challenges in climate change and transitioning to Net Zero and mixed energy. The energy sector represents a significant opportunity for our strengthened Golder and WSP teams coming together across Australia to get more involved in energy projects including solar, onshore and offshore wind, pumped hydro, battery storage and future fuels such as hydrogen.”
In her three years with Golder, now a WSP company, Tara was previously Renewables Sector Lead for Australia/ New Zealand and a Principal Environmental Consultant. In these roles Tara led the delivery of environmental services for large-scale renewables, construction, energy and resources projects in Australia and New Zealand.
Specialising in environmental law, Tara is passionate about mitigating environmental risk and is recognised for her strong skills in delivering smart, reliable and effective solutions.
“The energy sector is incredibly dynamic at the moment, with the rapid emergence of new technologies. I’m really looking forward to working with our clients at the cutting edge of the energy transition.”
Commenting on where she sees growth and opportunities Tara says, “We are seeing real growth in pumped hydro projects, particularly along the east coast. Various state governments are developing renewable energy zones, which are generating opportunities to support not only government, but private sector clients as well. Hydrogen and offshore wind are also areas of future growth in Australia.”
