Organised by The Hong Kong Institute of Building Information Modeling (HKIBIM), the awards run for its fourth year to celebrate projects, initiatives, organisations and professionals that make the extraordinary contribution and achievements to Hong Kong BIM industry.

Organic Resources Recovery Centre Phase 2 (O·PARK2)
BIM Projects – Government Projects: Gold Award

Our BIM audit and management involvement in the city’s second organic resources recovery centre O·PARK2 with state-of-art anaerobic digestion technology has earned a Gold Award under ‘Government Projects’ category. 

WSP is the engineering design consultant to the Design-Build-Operate joint venture for O·PARK2, featuring advanced and tailored BIM design solutions.

Our 4D simulations at the design stage enable the team to well optimise project programme before construction. Harnessing the latest BIM-simulated clash detection technology with cloud-based common data platform, WSP enables better collaboration and facilitates seamless information flow within the team. Our project team not only assists in stimulating a digital space throughout the construction, but also aims to prevent and solve the clashes with the holistic BIM solutions.

BIM Projects – BIM Initiatives: Sliver Award

WSP partnered with HILTI, a leading multinational firm designing construction-related software and products, in this brand-new initiative to drive collaboration between different stakeholders in the industry, including Jardine Engineering, BYME Engineering and Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi). The 10-month programme is awarded for its joint contribution on nurturing young BIM engineers and students with latest solutions, while fostering collaborations for innovative future solutions.

WSP earned BIM Organisations award for four consecutive years since the award’s inception in 2018, a testimony on our relentless effort to optimise the considerable potential of technology and work processes associated with BIM, combined with our award-winning expertise, to enable collaborative, efficient and effective building and infrastructure design.

Built upon our proven leadership and experience in modelling, WSP has been pushing the boundaries of BIM for more cutting-edge deliverables. These include scan-to-BIM approach, engineering analysis, self-developed application programming interface (API) for different BIM solutions, 4D phase planning, 5D simulation, DfMA/CMS simulation, immersive design, asset management and digital twins, adding values to a wide range of projects and clients through minimising energy consumption, uncovering operational insights, informing decision making and sharing knowledge.
