The PSCI comprises a group of pharmaceutical and healthcare companies, including some of the world’s largest, who share a vision of better social, health, safety and environmental outcomes in the communities where they buy from.
Under PSCI, an audit programme is in place to assess a supplier’s performance against the PSCI Principles as well as against international standards and agreements, and local regulatory requirements in the areas of ethics, labor, health and safety, environmental protection and management systems. An audit typically covers a clearly defined supplier location, such as a pharmaceutical or chemical production site, and covers all the internal and external areas of the facility.
Golder, before becoming part of WSP’s family in 2021, was among the first group of qualified auditing parties since 2016. Following assessments and interviews by the PSCI Panel, WSP is now officially qualified to offer PSCI audit services on Management Systems, Health and Safety and Environment for all three categories of suppliers:
- Service providers and suppliers of non-supply chain goods (Type A)
- Component and material suppliers (Type B)
- Core suppliers and contract manufacturers (Type C)
The qualification is a solid foundation for the now united workforce at WSP, with accumulated knowledge and experience in the field, to be fully capable of meeting the ever-increasing PSCI Audit demands from key pharmaceutical and healthcare players in Asia and around the world.
You may learn more about the audit from the PSCI’s official website, or speak to our global contacts Paul Kau and Rosana Moraes for more details.
