PAS 2080 provides a global best practice framework for managing and reducing carbon emissions across the entire lifecycle of infrastructure projects—from design and construction through operation and end-of-life. The framework provides a breakdown of responsibilities and activities for asset owners, designers, constructors, and product and material suppliers so that they can jointly deliver the decarbonization of assets. Together, the application of a range of digital tools and PAS 2080 framework offer great potential to transform how the industry shapes decisions to design and deliver for the present and the future.
This article, the fourth in a series, provides a look at how WSP is applying digital tools, developed in-house, and the global standard PAS 2080 to advance decarbonization in the rail sector.
