Located at the heart of Shenzhen, One Avenue is a super high-rise comprehensive landmark comprising a 375.5m-tall skyscraper named Dabaihui Plaza, various large retail areas, an underground car parking, a design museum, and a 180m-tall office tower named Gemdale Centre, offering unparalleled shopping experience, upmarket office and residential units.

We adopted our pioneering seismic design with the use of steel tubular frame and reinforced concrete core structure to effectively resist earthquake vibration and strong wind loads and ensure the safety of structure and occupants. We also developed our in-house structural research software to perform rapid structural modelling, analysis, drawing automation and automated BIM modelling, significantly optimising the design of trusses and reducing both material and construction cost.

The project is a commercial and residential mixed-use development that spans two blocks in Qianhai Harbour’s Financial District, comprising a 170m, 35-storey office tower and a 100m, 30-storey residential tower with a total GFA of 80,000 sqm.

WSP provides a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering consultancy services for the building, helping to create a flagship icon that blends in well with its innovative Shenzhen neighbourhood.
