EPCM service provider for a major project
BHP Western Australia Iron Ore (WAIO) operates the Jimblebar open-cut pit iron ore mining hub in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, approximately 40 km east of Newman and on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people. The town of Newman is located approximately 1,200 km north of Perth and is serviced by an airport and heavy haulage roads.
Calibre has been awarded the EPCM services contract for the design phase study of the Jimblebar Beneficiation project, extending from its involvement in the pre-feasibility study.
“We are pleased to be partnering with BHP to deliver the Jimblebar Beneficiation Project. We have assembled a high performing team and are leveraging our expertise in Iron Ore Beneficiation to deliver value for our client.” Says Adrian Chapman; Director, Capital Projects & Indonesia.
Our rich history delivering scaled major projects in the Pilbara including the delivery of multiple wet plant projects such as Yandi JSE Wet Plant, Yandi Central Wet Plant, Mesa A Wet Plant and Mesa J Wet Plant positions us well to deliver this major project for BHP.
