Located next to the first generation, the Lotte World Complex and the Seokchon Lake, the Lotte World Tower stands at 555 metres and has 123 floors. The 836,100-square-metre tower provides premium Grade A offices, a six-star hotel, an observatory deck, extensive retail. and recreational facilities.
Completed in early 2016, the Lotte World Tower was designed to meet the Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design - New Construction (LEED-NC v3.0) Gold level by the US Green Building Council (USGBC). It is the landmark building of Seoul’s skyline and an important milestone for the city.
WSP undertook the peer review of the entire MEP and VTS installations for the owner. Major achievements include improvements to the logistics and reliability of the elevators and enhancing the overall MEP installation.
We are also provided LEED consultancy and facilitation services, energy modelling and commissioning support.
Seventy floors of the tower had already been constructed when we were engaged to provide Owner’s Engineer services. Without slowing the ongoing construction works, we had to promptly deploy expert resources from our China and Korea teams, overcome language barriers and rapidly provide technical solutions.
