Our business currently has a large number of highly-talented Saudi nationals in KSA, and we envision this number growing substantially in the years ahead. In addition, we have been recruiting local KSA engineering graduates for several years now, many from some of the best engineering universities in the world, and we are proud of the fact that many have gone on to have successful careers.

Our KSA legal entities and associated companies meet or exceed the Minimum 20% Saudization requirement for Engineering and our Nitaqat status in active entities is never less than mid Green.

KSA Accelerated Graduate Development… Helping engineer industry pathways in the kingdom

Jobs of the future, today: Our Accelerated Graduate Development programme provides Saudi graduates with hands-on experience on some of the kingdom’s most iconic projects.

Launched in 2021, the programme exemplifies our commitment to developing Saudi’s leaders of tomorrow and aims to offer participants’ with mentoring and real world skill development to help fulfill the vast economic and social development in KSA.

The Red Sea Project

The Red Sea Project aims to redefine the global standard for regenerative tourism and is one of the three Giga Projects aimed at diversifying Saudi Arabia’s economy in line with the 2030 Vision. WSP is proud to be delivering a wide range of multi-discipline professional consultancy services for The Red Sea Development Company across multiple assets within this exquisite luxury tourism destination.

KING KHALID INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

This project intends to upgrade the Sewage network, and expand wastewater treatment plant (UWN) at King Khalid International Airport (KKIA) and replace and install new fuel loops in Terminal 3 and Terminal 4 and another additional loop for concourse H.

RIYADH METRO

The Riyadh Metro network consists of six lines with a length of 176 km, designed to high technical and design specifications and uses an automated train system (driverless). It also comprises 85 main and secondary stations – including four iconic stations at King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD), Olaya, Western Station and Qasr Al Hokm Downtown – and seven depots and maintenance centres.

“Moving to Saudi had this kind of unfair reputation of being a ‘hardship posting’, so when I first went, I was blown away at how much I liked Riyadh. After being in Dubai for 13 years, it felt like the new frontier, the Wild West. I starting going there weekly in 2019 as the Project Manager on site for the KAFD project, and have already seen it change so much.

There are so many opportunities for adventure without leaving the country – the desert, the Red Sea, the archaeological sites, the mountains and I find people really band together as an expat community. Being in Saudi right now, it feels like you’re at the start of something – it’s not always an easy place to be, but if trailblazing was easy, the road would already be paved.”
