WSP Middle East’s CEO, Dean McGrail, featured in the September edition of Middle East Consultant, where he discussed his vision, the firm’s Regional Strategic Action Plan, and major achievements throughout the last year.
When discussing some of the highlights during the 13 months since his appointment as CEO in 2021, Dean mentioned how the new Advisory Services and Project Management Services arms have grown exponentially since their introduction. He also praised WSP’s engagement on ‘every ‘giga-project’ you can think of’, as well as the big uptick in the UAE and the progression of WSP’s work in Qatar including the many initiatives for the football world cup.
With this issue’s theme being focused on wellbeing, Dean also discussed WSP’s five-pronged wellness approach that he and the leadership team are rolling out; “Our hope is that by being proactive, we give everyone the chance to make health a key priority.”
Describing his approach to his role, Dean says: “I would describe my tactics as ‘being prepared’. I’ve been in this region for 17 years now, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that there will always be challenges. This region is very dynamic, and you have to be ready.”
The article also focuses on WSP Middle East’s commitment to quality and how that is driving the firm’s growth and continued improvement, both for its people and for its work with the region’s best clients.
“We’re absolutely passionate about quality – there’s an unrelenting focus on quality from the business in terms of everything we do and produce.”
“We believe in growth because it empowers us to work with the best clients, and it gives our teams the opportunity to work with the very best.”
