We are delighted to host a seminar themed 'Net-Zero Future – The Business of Smart Power and Energy' on 15 October 2024, during which our experts and innovators shared the insight of the cutting-edge advancements in building energy efficiency and the transformative role of AI in decarbonising the building portfolios, and more importantly, viable financing models to accelerate the journey.
The event began with a warm welcome from our Asia CEO, Ivy Kong, who set the stage for a day of enlightening discussions. Our Great China Environment Managing Director, Paul Kau highlighted the critical role of smart energy in our sustainability journey. Following his introduction, our Regional Power Director, Colin Fleming elaborated on the impacts of power systems on our environment.
Ronald Chan from the Environment team then showcased how we leverage the globally renowned sustainable platform, OneClick, emphasising its potential to help clients conduct lifecycle assessments. Alex Wan, our digital leader shared our digital capabilities and success stories, illustrating how technology can drive sustainability.
We are honored to have two esteemed guests. Emily Li, Sustainability & Shared Value Manager from Nam Fung Group, shared insights on creating sustainable workplace from a landlord’s perspective, while Angus Choi, ESG Advisory Partner from KPMG China, inspired the audience with innovative business models that support sustainable energy projects.
The seminar concluded with a dynamic panel discussion chaired by Paul Kau, featuring our leaders Alex Wan, Peter Chan, and Kenneth Li alongside guest speakers Emily Li and Angus Choi. The discussion focused on the implementation of technology in the real environment and the role of green finance in facilitating decarbonisaiton processes.
