Situated in the heart of Hong Kong’s central business district and designed by the world-renowned Zaha Hadid Architects, The Henderson is a 36-storey Grade A office tower envisioning ‘Office of the Future’. Serving as the MEP consultant for the project, WSP has gone an extra mile to tailor MEP design and shape this next generation of healthy, resilient, smart, green and sustainable landmark in Hong Kong.
Our innovative design for The Henderson includes an AI-enabled smart lift control system, integrating video analysis to count the people in each car and lift lobby. It is also completely contactless as passengers can use their smart devices to communicate with the system.
Moreover, by adopting openBIM to optimise MEP systems and collaboration throughout the whole project lifecycle, WSP has enhanced interoperability, traceability, and reliability for delivering better project outcomes, ultimately achieving long-term efficient building operation performance and realising sustainable development goals.
In addition to this achievement, our involvement in Hoi Tat Connectivity Hub, as the structural and building services provider, won Merit for the project under Hong Kong Non-Residential (New Building - Government, Institution or Community) category. Monaco, which we provided building services engineering consultancy, was named as Finalist under Hong Kong Residential (Multiple Buildings) category.
