As a global company, WSP is actively participating in the development of local communities and recognising the collective rights of these communities. Our Global ESG Statement states that we will give back to the communities where we live and work with time and resources.
Nominated by our two long-term non-profit partners, namely Aberdeen Kai-Fong Welfare Association (AKA) Social Service Centre and The Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council (NAAC), WSP is again named as a Caring Company this year under the Caring Company Scheme launched by The Hong Kong Council of Social Service. This scheme aims to foster strategic partnerships between the business and social services sectors to promote good corporate citizenship and create a more inclusive society.
This is the 12th consecutive years that we have been recognised as a Caring Company.
Furthermore, three of our Hong Kong volunteer team members, Jenny Yip, Ada Yau and Angus Lai, are awarded as Caring Ambassadors to recognise their active support and participation in community programmes.
WSP has also been awarded a Certificate of Appreciation for our contribution of over 500 hours of volunteer service to the community in 2022 under Hong Kong Volunteer Award 2022, co-organised by the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau and the Agency for Volunteer Service, while Peggy Ng has obtained the Bronze Individual Award for her contribution for over 50 hours of volunteer service.
