How do I apply for graduate opportunities at WSP?
Visit https://www.wsp.com/en-CN/careers/graduates/hongkong where you can find out more about WSP Hong Kong Graduate Programme and start the application process.
We will ask you to submit:
- Curriculum Vitae (CV);
- Latest academic transcript;
- Public examination result that demonstrates your English language proficiency (i.e. HKDSE, IELTS, TOEFL or equivalent);
- Employment reference(s), if any.
We will ask you to indicate your preference of multiple engineering disciplines through our application platform. We will try to accommodate the preferences of individual applicants.
We will use your preferences to consider you against all relevant opportunities, therefore multiple applications to graduate positions are unnecessary.
What are the important dates for applications?
Applications are open from October 2022, and the deadline for application is on 28 February 2023. Early applications are recommended.
Do you offer the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE)’s Scheme “A” training?
Yes, we are approved by HKIE to offer Scheme “A” training for varied disciplines. Please refer to HKIE’s website for approved disciplines (https://www.hkie.org.hk/en/quali/section/210/).
How long does the process take?
You’ll receive an email confirming that we’ve received your application within 48 hours of submission.
Our Graduate Recruitment Team will process all the applications received as soon as possible. A longer processing time may be required during busy periods.
We will match you with the most suitable role in our business and the recruitment process can vary depending on the role and team you are matched with. The majority of applications are progressed to assessment within 2-3 months and the whole process can last up to 6 months in total. We will keep you informed of the progress and inform you of your successful application as soon as possible.
What are the entry requirements?
For our graduate opportunities, we require a Bachelor’s Degree with Second Class Honours or above in 2023 in a relevant engineering discipline.
For UK graduates who wish to enrol in the HKIE Scheme “A” training, a Master’s degree in any relevant Engineering programme is required.
Our Hong Kong Graduate Programme is designed to provide initial training and development for starting your career and is therefore best suited to candidates with less than two years of post graduate experience. If you don’t meet our minimum entry requirements, you can find a range of other roles we offer that could suit you at https://www.wsp.com/en-gl/careers/join-our-team
When will I start working?
Our graduates’ start date is in early June 2023. If you are not able to join us on the arranged date, please inform us as early as possible so that we can arrange an earlier or a later start date for you. We recommend you join us before our welcome event in August.
Could there be opportunities to work overseas?
Yes, as a global organisation, we are able to offer international opportunities. If you’re looking to start your career overseas, visit https://www.wsp.com/en-GL/careers/join-our-team to apply for opportunities in other regions. If you join our Hong Kong office, you may apply to join our overseas exchange programme which will give you a chance to exchange knowledge with colleagues in another city and experience a different kind of working life.
Will I get to meet and work with other graduates?
Yes, when you join our Hong Kong Graduate Programme, you will be invited to an induction event where you will meet graduates joining at the same time as you.
We also encourage ongoing networking and relationship building events through the PGN (Professional Growth Network) which hosts various events throughout the year on top of the ones included in the Hong Kong Graduate Programme.
Do you accept applications from international students?
Yes, international students are welcome to apply for our opportunities.
