We are proud to announce that WSP Middle East has successfully defended its title as the ‘Multi-Discipline Consultant of the Year’
Last night at the Middle East Consultant Awards WSP Middle East picked up not one but two industry awards, taking home trophies for both the ‘Gender Diversity Champion of the Year’ and ‘Multi-Discipline Consultant of the Year’ categories.
The first accolade we were presented at the awards ceremony was for ‘Gender Diversity Champion of the Year’, which saw WSP ME go up against many of our industry peers.
Caroline Parsons, HR Director and Director – Shared Services at WSP Middle East picked up the award on behalf of the business.

Middle East Consultant said:
‘WSP promotes and cultivates a diverse and inclusive culture internally, while also advocating for change in the industry by engaging with clients, project stakeholders and media. The firm is committed to being a Great Place to Work and launched a Maternity Policy in 2020 that exceeds industry and regional norms. It is also on track to achieve 25% female representation in regional management and leadership by the end of 2021, and aims to develop at least 200 leaders with inclusion training in 2021.’
Following this excellent outcome, the final category we were shortlisted for was the fiercely contested ‘Multi-Discipline Consultant of the Year’.
WSP Middle East’s Managing Director – Property & Buildings, Dean McGrail was presented the award on behalf of the business.

Middle East Consultant said:
‘WSP impressed the judges with a thoroughly well-rounded nomination that showcased its prowess at multiple disciplines through an incredible body of work. Perhaps most importantly, the nomination highlighted its focus on its employees and influencing the industry when it comes to health and safety, and social issues such as diversity and inclusion. And despite the challenging year that put immense pressure on businesses and their finances, the company increased its investment into mental health for its people, whilst stepping up its focus on activities that sharing knowledge with other industry players.’
These award wins build on WSP Middle East’s dual success at the Construction Week Awards in December, in which the business was named Consultant of the Year and Senior Technical Director, Dr. Mohamed Hegazy was crowned Engineer of the Year.
The Middle East Consultant Awards, which were held at the Ritz Carton in Dubai’s JBR, culminated in a great evening showcasing the best talent from around the region with a number of awards for individuals, projects and companies.
More importantly, these multiple award successes are testament to the exceptional efforts of WSP Middle East’s people and the incredible accomplishments they have achieved in the delivery of client and project excellence.
