Mike is a collaborative leader with three decades of experience in environmental business management. He has extensive experience with highly engineered systems, which require deep understanding of critical business drivers in multiple markets and industries. His working knowledge of applicable regulations and standards at both the state and federal levels is essential in managing environmentally impaired properties and portfolios, environmental remediation, investigation and corrective action planning. He has served as both an executive and as a technical committee Potentially Responsible Party (PRP) representative on seven major National Priority List (NPL) sites and is very knowledgeable with the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) process, including the PRP group dynamic.
Prior to joining WSP, Mike served in executive positions for client-focused environmental service businesses specializing in EH&S compliance, permitting, site investigation and remediation (both design and construction), and corrective action planning with an emphasis on safety. He has also held senior management positions with several global engineering firms.
Mike holds a bachelor’s of science degree in geology from University of Georgia and is a licensed geologist in Georgia, Tennessee, California, North Carolina and Kentucky. He serves on the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce’s board of advisors. In his youth, he was awarded Eagle Scout by Neil Armstrong.
