WSP’s Future Mobility team focuses on change and uncertainty affecting transportation and the sectors on which it depends or interacts with, such as energy and digital communications. Future Mobility, also known as New Mobility, encompasses all new and emerging forms of transportation, both physical and virtual, that provide access to places, goods and services. The team’s approach focuses on shaping mobility systems by prioritizing the needs of people, communities and places. They apply horizon scanning to identify emerging change, scenario planning to envision possible outcomes, and systems thinking to analyze the interconnectedness of each part of the transport system.
